Vacation and Leave Information for Employees

Employees with absences related to COVID-19 will submit their absence requests with a selected reason defined by their circumstances.
- Absence-eligible employees will use the My Time page in MyU to request Vacation, Sick, Earned Sick and Safe Time, Personal holiday, or Comp time.
- Employees will enter absences in full day, half day, or quarter
Employees can edit or cancel their absence requests in MyU > My Time.
Supervisors should be familiar with the governing contracts and rules surrounding employment classifications of all of their employees.
Employees are assigned work schedules in HRMS when hired. This resource describes how to run a query to search for available schedules in HRMS that correspond with the number of hours an employee works each week.
Comp Time and Overtime applies to eligible employees under circumstances as described in Employee Contracts and in the OHR resource: OHR Policy and Guidelines on Pay Practices.
Units routinely monitor and identify issues with employee timesheets that may require the unit to accurately adjust an employee's timesheet.
