Navigate to: Main Menu > Payroll for North America > Employee Pay Data USA > Create Additional Pay

When entering contract details, after selecting a Contract Pay Type, many fields are populated with default information, most of which should never be changed. (Exception: special date and multi-year contracts.

The FTE field, located in the position record in HRMS, should be populated based on the following: standard work hours for the position (represented in quarter hour increments) and the 40 hour work week.

The Time Reporting Code (TRC) defines what kind of time reporting is occurring. Available TRC’s vary depending on the classification of the employee.
System defined rules are set up in HRMS to check for the validity of reported time on timesheets. If a timesheet entry does not pass system inspection an exception will occur. All exceptions must be resolved prior to payroll close or the employee may not get paid.
